The night

What to expect

The Three Guineas is our bigger Reading proposition: more boards, more people to meet and a room designed around circulating between opponents rather than settling in for one long game.

  • A bigger room, so there is always someone new to play.
  • Help finding a suitable opponent when a game finishes.
  • A proper night out rather than a club meeting.

What’s provided

  • Chess sets and boards
  • Venue display showing who is ready to play
  • All levels welcome

The atmosphere

Chess in a room made for conversation.

Come for a game, stay for the people you meet between them.
