For venues
Turn a quiet night into a community.
Social Chess runs regular, hosted social chess nights in pubs, bars and hospitality spaces — bringing a warm, sociable crowd to the quieter end of the week.
The proposition
The best chess nights, bar none.
We work with pubs, bars, hospitality groups, BIDs, landlords, estates, universities and other venue partners who want a dependable community night rather than a one-off event.
Regular footfall
A recurring night with a reason for people to arrive early and stay late.
Repeat customers
Players come back for the people as much as the chess, and they bring others.
Food and drink spend
Sociable, seated, unhurried evenings — the kind that suit a hospitality room.
Community activation
A genuinely inclusive event that welcomes people who arrive on their own.
Centrally managed
We run the night, the welcome and the experience. You provide the room.
Brand and event support
Equipment, hosting and marketing support from the Social Chess team.
Commercial arrangements and the right format for each venue are discussed directly, based on the room, location and community it serves.
